Summer Ready? Yes I am!

Hellooo everyone!

Spring is here and summer is on it's way & what does that mean? Yeees!! Loads of new outfits, plus I love summer, I have so so so much more summer clothes than winter clothes! I just love summer, everyone is happy, it's bright, warm, nice cocktail drinks, long nights out, beach days, holidays and just lots of good memories! In winter everything is just so dark and gloomy and I am definitely not that kind of person! I'm a bubbly, bright, happy, warm person!

My order from Tobi just came in and I'm just so excited to share what I got with you all! As you all probably know, crops and florals are in season this year. So yes I went with the flow and got a few crops!

In the beginning I wasn't too keen on crop tops because if you don't wear it right it can look trashy! So here is a quick tip on how to wear crops properly by not looking trashy but classy!

TRASHY or CLASSY?

TRASHY: don't wear a crop top with low waist shorts or trousers. You don't want to expose too much skin, you might give off the wrong impression if you know what I mean. Remember, less is more! (I know this mostly applies for makeup but I think it applies nearly for everything).

CLASSY: fitted crop with a high wasted skater skirt looks gorgeous, or nice high waist flowy shorts. This look always looks good. You don't want to wear a fitted crop with a fitted mini skirt, again you're exposing way too much here, the curves, the skin, too much! A little skin between the top and bottom is nice, it also gives a mysterious look.

TRASHY: don't wear crops with leggings or baggy pants, that's a BIG no no! It just looks ridiculous and isn't a good look. A loose crop and loose pants makes you look like a sac of potatoes so just DON'T!

CLASSY: the very popular co ords. are very IN this season too! Such as the floral crop with the matching floral skirt. This is a very elegant look and will almost suit every girl out there. The co ordinates are most certainly getting a thumbs up from me!

That's all of my advice to you for now! Here are a few pictures of the orders I received so far. More of these lovely posts will be coming up soon! Make sure to follow me on LookBook because I'll be posting a lot more often on there now, especially as I am counting on taking lots and lots of new outfit pictures.

I love pastel colours, especially because I find pastel and light colours are what suit me best. I have a bright pastel pink circle skirt from boohoo on it's way and two more crop tops one black and white from NewYorker at home. I also bought some fabric to make my own crop tops and attempt to make a twisted skirt in pink like the one I'm wearing bellow in black.

Claire's face mask 5er pack

Hey girls!

I bought this face mask pack of 5 from Claire's last week. This post is more a fun activity thing and also me benefiting of these fruity face masks. I thought I would give them all a try, as one would do, and share my thoughts and remarks on the masks. You've probably come across these masks online or in Claire's. I've always looked at them and they always seemed fun because of the packaging and titles some of them had. I mean come on, a chocolate face mask, how cool does that sound? Unfortunately my 5 pack of face masks doesn't have a chocolate one. The pack is just filled with fruit based ones, which sounds fun and I'm sure will smell amazing!!

Mask number 1: Passion peel off - deep cleanse, purify and protect

When I applied this mask to my face it was actually quite funny at first because it was all jelly like texture, but then my eyes started to get all watery, the mask was having an onion effect. You know when you cut an onion your eyes start to water well this was the same feeling. But I also think it's because I put the mask too near my eyes. What I also noticed was the mask gave a kind of cool effect on your skin which was kind of weird but I liked it. Good side was that the mask smelt wonderful!! On the back of the packet it said to wait up to 15 to 20 minutes, but I had to wait a bit longer as the mask wasn't completely dry.

The peeling off part: Oh god, some places it felt really nice, like over my eyes, forehead and nose but near my temples and ears that hurt a lot, probably because I was pulling tiny hairs off too!! Oh and don't get it too close to your eyebrows, I did, but I didn't end up pulling eyebrow hairs out so that was cool.

Results: Nice smooth skin like a baby's bottom. Yes I said it. My face felt so fresh and smooth, it was really a "agreable" feeling as the french would say.

In this picture it looks like i'm pulling off my tan or something

Keep coming back to see my updates on the other 4 remaining masks for more fun!

see you soon!

Lipstick Haul

Hey everyone,

Today I'll be sharing my lipstick collection. My collection isn't complete but these are my favorite ones and the only ones I had present with me in my apartment today. I have quite a few more at home in my hometown, but I'm not missing too many.

I know how hard it is to find the perfect shade, especially if you're buying lisptick online. There are no good valuable swatches to actually see what the lipstick looks like on one's lips, so I thought I would share my collection and lip swatches! Enjoy!

My lipsticks are:
  • NYX round: marrakesh pink, Strawberry milk, Narcissus, Indian pink
             matte: Hippie chic
  • Paul & Joe: n°202
  • Sephora: little treat, lip attitude, n°3162B
  • ModelCO - party proof matte lipstick: Red Velvet
  • Bareminerals - marvelous moxie: Get ready
  • Urban Decay: Shame

February birchbox '14

Hey everyone,
My February birchbox arrived in the post a few days ago! yay, I'm so excited! I've actually found the time to write this post, I wanted to do this on Sunday evening, but I already had tons of other things to do. Keep reading if you want to discover what's inside my box - a great surprise! (for me anyways). This month I mostly got creams (as you can see), I was expecting a bit more makeup stuff but yeah creams will do for now. I did get this cute little pink bag from the french brand Princesse Tam Tam, it's a underwear/swimwear brand. It's to store your favorite undies when going away but you could use it for anything I guess. I'll probably put my bikini in or something :)

Here's a weird cream I got which actually comes from Japan, so it's a Japanese brand. It actually smells very nice, this small tube can be used on your hands or on your lips. Apparently this little tube of cream is very nourishing for the skin and chapped lips. I haven't actually tried it on my lips yet but it definitely feels nice on my hands.

Ahhhh a beauty & protect brand again! If you read my last months Birchbox (January) I got a beauty & protect leave in conditioner spray and I fell in love with it. Unfortunately it's now finnished, I just couldn't keep my hands off the little magical spray. Good news is I can actually buy it off Birchbox.fr and the full size woohoo!  That's what's so great about the birchbox, if there's something in your box that you really really like you can order it online in it's normal size. Point is this is a hair oil and it definetly leaves your hair nice and smooth. Now I try not to put too much oily stuff in my hair, if I do it's at the tips of my hair and no where near the roots, oh god no, if I do that my hair just looks all greasy and horrible.

Eye liner! My liquid liner ran out the other day, and now i'm wondering whether I should get gel eyeliner, I heard it was very good but I'm still undecisive. This one I got in my birchbox is eyeko skinny mini liquid eyeliner, which is not bad, it goes on quite well just the brush is more like the end of a felt tip pen and doesn't really go on in a thin line... it's a bit thick, but great if I don't want a thin line!

Another one of Dr. Hauschka's products. Last month I got a scent for my bath the only problem was that I don't actually have a bath, nor in my apartment in France nor at home in Lux. So i'm saving it for when I go on holiday to a hotel and use it in the bath there! Along with my lush bath bombs (so excited, can't wait to use them!). This is a face cream, and to be completly honest with you, it doesn't smell too nice, it feels like peanut butter spread. It's an okay product but nothing I would go crazy for.

Last of all, Moraz hand cream. This cream is wonderful, it has the whole package: smells nice, feels nice (doesn't leave your hands greasy but smooth) and of course hydrates your hands. A very nice hand cream, I wouldn't buy this product again simply because I love my hand creams from l'Occitane and they are just great! I use them all year long.

There that's all for now my beauties. I hope you enjoyed reading my post and maybe discovered something new to try, or if you also have one of these products than yay us! Don't forget to like, share, and/or follow me if you aren't for more monthly Birchbox posts! Thank you

be inspired

"being inspired is the best way to be creative, but being creative and to inspire is even better!" - Lucy Fraser

Hey everyone,

as you can maybe already tell from my quote, this post will be just about inspirational pictures for you. I picked out these specific pictures all because they were my favorite ones. Notice: the pictures do not belong to me, these were found on weheartit and you can find them on my profile here. You may notice a common style I like and if you haven't already notice, I love everything that is white, pink, fluffy, sparkly and just princess like! I love luxury, fashion, photography accessories and beach snaps! Most of all, i'm obsessively in love with lingerie and Victoria's Secret, I just can't keep my hands off it!

My January Birchbox '14

Hello my beauties,

So back to beauty products today! I've received my January Birchbox in the post and here's what was inside, take a look:
I was actually very sceptical when first signing up to birchbox. I heard from some girls that Birchbox wasn't too good and others said it was excellent, so I said to myself: "what the heck" and gave it a go. My January Birchbox is indeed my first Birchbox and as a result I'm quite pleased although I was expecting more bits and bobs for my hair like hair bands or so on. Maybe next month I'll have better luck!

Here are my products in details:

1. Dr. Hauschka - Lemon lemongrass vitalising Bath essence It's quite hard to review this product, since I don't have a bath tub anymore (frowning). I really miss my bath tub and I loved taking baths especially with Lush's bath bombs! Oh well this one i'll have to save for when I'm on holiday in a hotel. What I can say though is that it smells so refreshing and lively. Spring in a bottle!

2. Delarom Paris - Acquaconfort mask. Smooth and light hydrating mask Nothing special, but It's always nice to have a face mask now and then. I'm actually quite pleased with this because I love treating my face to face masks, especially on sundays, plus this is a mini tube so it's great to test. I wouldn't buy this product simply because I love trying out new products. Yay me for samples!

3. Model co - Party proof matte lipstick in Red Velvet Wow great texture and vibrant color! This lipstick applys very very easily, which was kind of weird in the beginning. I'm used to applying lipsticks on a bit harder but this goes on so easily and smoothly you have to apply it very lightly. And even the lightest touch gives the max. color needed which is great! It kind of melts on your lips. I'm very happy with this product, i'm only a bit disappointed because it said I got two colors: Red Velvet and Get Naked but I never got Get Naked. Apart from that, great product.

4. Thermaliv - soft face scrub I love a nice face scrub and this product is just right. I wouldn't buy this in it's original format though, because as I said before hand I love trying out new products so the sample size suits me fine. I love a great face scrub, this really clears out your pores and gets rid of all impurities.

5. Beauty protector - Protect and Detangle leave in conditioner LOVE LOVE LOVE this product. This is by far the best product I received in my January Birchbox, I'll even give it the stamp of approval and the product of January Birchbox award. Smells so so nice I want to eat my hair. This little wonder instantly detangles, thermal protector, UV protector, seals cuticles, smoothes hair, locks in color, adds shine, weightless, non-greasy, conditions, for all hair types and to use daily. I would agree to everything and approve it. I would definitely buy this product in big! Only problem was in the beginning nothing would come out even if i pumped and pumped the spray so I detached the spray and sprayed it a few times in a glass of water till it worked, I then screwed it back on to the bottle and it worked perfectly!

6. Móa - the green balm A small cute tube of hydrayting cream. Smells good feels good and fits perfectly in your handbag. Cute little product for a quick creaming ( ok sounds wrong but you understand me). I wouldn't buy this product in big simply because ( as before) I love trying out new stuff.

There that's all for my January Birchbox. Hope you enjoyed reading this post and hopefully you've decided to join the Birchboxers!

Good luck !!
