Hey everyone.

So as you all OBVIOUSLY know we are now in February..... already!!!

The months are going by so fast we'll soon be blogging about Christmas again!! Oh god no not yet, please, before that we still have 11 months ahead of us and good news is, summer's included! (Yay - I love summer).

I spent my 1st of February celebrating a friend's bachlorette party which by the way was my first. It was great fun! The only thing that I was not looking forward too was how much sleep I was going to get. Knowing me, sleep and I do not get on together at all! I'm always tired no matter what (but that's due to a small stomach problem that I might have) but other than that, I have difficulty falling asleep, always waking up during the night and once awake in the morning I can't fall back asleep! All in all, restless nights and yawning every 2 minutes sums me up! If I were put into a deep sleep for a month, I could wake up and still be tired! Its horrible I know, but what I'm actually trying to point out in this post in relation to my bachlorette party is that I got home around 4:20 am and woke up at 9 am..... that's not even 6 hours sleep (which is considered the minimum). And knowing me of course I can not get back to sleep even though I'm dead tired. Hence today I thought I would share a few tips and tricks for those of you who have restless nights like me and how to make you look up and energetic (20 hours of sleep).

What always makes me feel more serene is a nice cup of tea! I love it, I love it, I love it! I have every flavor you could possibly imagine.

Next a nice warm shower or bath always helps you to relax. So if it's a sunday and you're not planning on going out but planinng to lay in bed all day this is definitely recommended. (Notice: highly relaxing and a definite back to sleep mood maker).

But right now i'm just pin pointing things that will put you back to sleep, I was meant to do the opposite.

Tip1:

 Put two tea spoons in the fridge or freezer for a couple of minutes. When cold, take them out and press them under your eyes (that part where most of us have dark circles and constantly like to conceal). This will help get rid of any swelling. Great for those puffy eyes in the morning.

Tip2:

 Next if you have one of those rollers for tired eyes that's a great help. Or you can put green tea tea bags on your eyes for a couple minutes.

Tip3: 

Hydrate your skin: this is key to healthy glowing skin.

Tip4:

 A great day saver for those of you who have had a little too much to drink and need to be up and jumpy: banana milkshake! Cure for nearly everything! Great for hangovers! This will give you all your energy back and restore magnesium! Also gets rid of muscle pains and cramps.

Tip5: 

This one is nothing most of you didn't know but of course it does the trick for covering up anything and everything: concealer and makeup! This will definitely be your best friend for the day. But I would only recommend this if you're going out for the day, otherwise you would be better off with a make up "free" day.

It is quite important that you all have one makeup free day a week! Your face and eyes need a rest from all your powders, foundations, creams, mascara, eyeliner and so on. Products strip off the natural oils from your skin just like hair. Oily skin for a day is actually a good thing. But if you cant stand it, like I, I love treating myself to great "at home face masks and scrubs," following up with a face massage and hydration. Doing this twice a week is great for your skin, I just never find the time to do it twice a week so I do it at least once a week and that's on a Sunday! Results: smooth, clear, cared for and glowing skin! I promise you'll all have angelic faces.

YSL - every girl has her "the one" lisptick ❤

I have found my "the one" lipstick plus I got a 10% reduction lucky me! I just wanted to point out something special that means a lot to me... over a 1000 views on my blog! Wow thank you girls, this is truly amazing, I never thought I would attract any viewers at all to be honest. I'm very excited and even more to write more beauty posts. This is very motivating. 

Back to my post! I have found my lip wonder! This is lipgasm, lip heaven (laughing), oh I do come up with really weird words sometimes. Yes it's Yves Saint Laurent ROUGE PUR COUTURE vernis à lèvres - glossy stain - 1 violet edition (out of breath). Well that was quite a long description.

Sexy cat eyes ❤

Girls, whether you believe me or not, I'm being completely honest with yous here, no jokes, but in this picture this was my very first attempt at cat eye eyeliner! After watching a very inspiring video from <<pin up beauty>> I decided to finally give this a go. I've always wanted those sexy elongated eyes but I never thought that it would suit me no more than if I was even able to do it!

My Awesome Cosmetics - MAC ❤

I know MAC doesn't actually stand for My Awesome Cosmetics but I just came up with that for a post title and I thought it was pretty cool! I'm writing this post at 1am so I might come up with random awesome stuff!

NAKED BASIC ❤

Hello my beauties. This post will be a small picture tutorial on a naked cat-eye eye makeup. I've created this look just because I love having natural eye shadow on but also because I like a natural look that shows I still have something on. Black is just a little to hard looking for during the day so I'll be using lighter naked shades.

This is a good look for small almond shaped eyes like me it will really help elongate the eyes and widen them a little.

NAKED 3 ❤

Hello my lovelies, the title of this post says it all, yes that's right girls I finally got the naked 3 palette and I'm in love with it!

As a beauty blogger I am entitled to say that I have the Naked palette, Naked basic palette, I don't have the Naked 2 ( I'll explain why) and I now have Naked 3.

Bat away with big, long curls ❤

All you need to do is bat your lashes and men will be down at your feet in a heart beat. Yes it is possible with Urban Decay's Super Curling mascara.

I discovered this beauty when I was in sephora getting my eyeshadow done and the cosmetician used this mascara. I was amazed of how my lashes looked big and long all while staying thin at the same time. I don't really like it when my lashes are thick, it just looks like you've put a ton on and too doll like. My eyes get lost in kilos of mascara! I like to keep them minimal but with long big lashes and a natural enough look.

You take care of them and they'll take care of you ❤

Most of you probably don't do this, but from now on, you'll probably start... What is it you ask?

Why, it's cleaning your makeup brushes! Yes you need to give them a bath at least once a week!

If you take good care of them, trust me they'll take care of you and your skin. Washing your brushes weekly will prevent shredding and keep them smooth and soft. ( This is a very important procedure, so please don't ignore it!)

Dior's Iconic mascara! ❤

Quick review on this wonderful mascara! I'll also be listing my 5 top fav mascaras, so keep on reading girls :)

The DIORSHOW ICONIC is a nice gentle mascara and leaves your lashes thin and long. If you're looking for a mascara that is not so chunky and voluminous this is THE one to get. Sometimes I like having thin long natural looking lashes. I have small eyes so I tend not to put too much mascara on because I don't like too much black around and one my eyes! I'm more of a bronze - nude - gold girl. 

The Dior mascaras can be pricey but if you're willing to spend a little for a good quality mascara I recommend this one! Remember girls before applying mascara don't forget to use an eyelash curler for a better/long lasting curl :)

Don't you just love applying lipstick or lipgloss? I do! Today I thought that I would share my lipstick of the month! YES December lips!

It's that time of the year AGAIN, yes it's December, gloomy, dark, cold December (unless you don't live in Europe it's probably not gloomy, dark and cold). Well it may be dark but it's wonderful, illuminated and white too! I love christmas time: presents, hot wine, diner parties and parties in general! delicious meals, family, snow... I love christmas - I hate winter though! I'm difficult I know but I know what I like!

Let's get to the point! Have you been looking for the right december lipstick colour? Yes? Well so have I and I finally found it! Drum roll please....

                            ....Urban Decay's "SHAME" lipstick is my perfect match!

This colour is a nice dark red/burgundy colour and it looks amazing with just about any outfit for any event! When I found this colour in the shop I was just so excited and when I tried it on a got even more excited because it looked amazing on my lips. I was so happy to have finally found a dark red/burgundy colour.

Sometimes it's so challenging to find the perfect colour for your lips and you wonder if it will look good on you considering your skin tone and hair colour. Different skin tones and hair colours can effect the different colored lipstick on your lips or your friends lips - the same colour make look gorgeous on your friend but horrible on you. This plays a major role, some girls just won't suit those delicious candy pink , hot pink/orange, or even bright red colours (like me)!

Bare Minerals Haul ❤

Hey girls!

Today i'll be doing a post on my Bare Minerals get started kit! I received this package a few weeks ago and to be totally honest I just can't get my hands off it. I love Bare Minerals make-up! It's a miracle how the minerals can cover up your skin perfectly without even making it look like you have make up on! Bare Minerals gives you a natural but yet model like makeup look!

BareMinerals Starter Kit (Light)

The following pictures will demonstrate how to apply the makeup properly and perfectly. This will be the proper and professional way to apply your Bare Minerals makeup in three easy steps: swirl, tap, buff!

One major important fact: LESS IS MORE! You only need a little amount of powder for full coverage, if you put too much:

1) it will be obvious you have way too much makeup on and you'll look like a cake (beats the whole propose of Bare Mineral makeup).

2) your makeup won't last all day.

3) you'll run out sooner and have to buy more - BareMinerals is pricey so you don't want to be doing that.

Prime Time

Step 1: before applying any makeup at all you want your face to be moisturized, then you apply Prime Time. Let this set before applying your makeup. This is a face Primer that will help keep your makeup on and in place all day long.

Step2 & 3: Fairly Light

Step 2: applying your foundation. I bought the Light Starter kit and it came with Light and Fairly Light. Right now I use Fairly Light, but in January/February I will probably have to use Light since we don't get much sun at all in winter :(

Open the slot and pour a little amount into the lid as shown in the picture. Most of you will be thinking: is that all? Yes that is all, trust me it does the job great!

This is all you need

Step 3: now this is the fun part, your going to stick to this number one beauty rule: SWIRL, TAP AND BUFF. I call it STB! You swirl to get the minerals working and attached to the brush, you're going to tap the brush to get the excess off the sides and you're going to buff onto your face. The powder doesn't go all powder like on but more creamy like and it feels very light on your face, as if you weren't wearing any makeup at all! Do this about 2-4 times on each cheek following up on the chine then on the forehead depending on how much coverage you want. I do it 3 times sometimes 4. If you're in a hurry, instead of applying the makeup on in 3 different sections (right cheek - left cheek - forehead) you can go on and do both cheeks quickly and the forehead - does the job just fine.

Max coverage

Now for this process you can either use the Flawless Face brush or the Full Flawless Face brush. I personally find the Full Flawless Face brush the best option at this stage. For more coverage you can then use the Max Coverage Concealer brush. I use this around the nose where it's harder to get in with the big brush, under the eyes and on any spots and blemishes I would like better and fuller coverage.

Step 4: Warmth

Step 4: take Warmth and apply a very small amount in the lid again proceeding with the STB rule. You can either apply this over your cheek bones and nose for a nice glow, or use it as a contour. I use this as a contour to define my face and give it more color and definition. For this step I use the Flawless face brush, this gives I lighter application :). Remember not to put too much or you'll look like an "Oompa Loompa."

Step 5: Original Mineral Veil

Step 5: Mineral Veil. This is the finishing touch everyone one needs and loves! Again using the STB rule and this time you apply this evenly all over your face for a beautiful finishing touch. This will cover up your pores, give you a less shine and set your makeup in place for the whole day. For this step I use the Full Flawless Face brush.

And voila, your skin looks flawless and beautiful!

There's just one more important thing you should know, I've read a few reviews and I've had friends say that the makeup really itches once they've applied it. This is because the oxidants in the minerals has a reaction to your skin causing it to itch, in this case I suggest you stop using BareMinerals, go to your beauty store and ask for advice. They might recommend another product which might be a bummer if you loved BareMinerals but you definitely don't wont to ruin your beautiful face. If your skin itches it means it's not ok with this product and is telling you to stop. Skin care is very important and for a great makeup application you need nice cared after skin.
